Believe in the Mission, Especially if it is Yours.

Yesterday Paul and I went to church. During the Pastor’s sermon, he mentioned that he makes a monthly donation just like his parishioners do. He does not do this out of obligation, he does this because he believes in the church’s mission.

That stuck with me.

I’ve been trying to focus more on working out for myself, and when I carve out the time, nine times out of ten I log on to B4’s site and take one of my own on-demand classes. And if you're curious why it's not B4 On Demand every single time, it's because some days I need a power walk to clear the racing thoughts in my head. I like to get lost in my music.

I joke with my fellow B4 Babes that I “work out with myself,” but the truth is I believe in my own mission and my classes. Maybe that sounds arrogant. But here’s the thing, I’ve poured years into Barre and Mat Pilates training. I chose not to dabble in every format because I experienced the benefits of these two firsthand, and they became my personal testimony. Not unlike when I was a “Bra Specialist” at Victoria’s Secret, they'd gift us a bra every new launch so we could wear it, believe in it, and share it. Well I am fully convinced of and support the effectiveness of these formats!

As I sit here writing, my abs are still sore from yesterday's workout. When I teach live classes, I'm actively moving with you. However, being my own student is a completely different experience. Fun fact: there are times you might even hear me cursing at myself.

My B4 Mission has always been simple: to provide a Safe, Effective workout and my hope is that you'll have some Fun doing it.

So why wouldn’t I join in on my own fun? If I’m laughing (and swearing) along the way, at least I know it's worth it.

Stay Happy, Healthy & Fit with Me and My Beyond the Barre by the Bay(B4) Mission! xo, M
